Dr. Scott Saft's Lecture.

This is a clip of the lecture Dr. Saft gave in Dr. Arimoto and Dr. Suzuki's joint class. The lecture was titled, "Recognizing and appreciating the similarities and differences between English and Japanese discourse". Dr. Saft discussed stereotypes of Japanese people, connecting it to differences in Japanese and English discourse from different points such as grammatical structure and "aizuchi". The students were asked to actively participate, often demonstrating various sentence structures making this a truly interactive lecture.
