"GP Thesis Writing Preparation Ⅴ"
After every lecture, the GP office collected surveys from the audience asking if there were any questions that the students wanted answered. The purpose of this final lecture was to answer those questions. Topics discussed included formal writing, utilizing a thesaurus, when to begin writing, and other tips for getting the ball rolling on thesis writing. The lecture included several examples of writing that the students had to modify to make them sound more formal. While challenging, it provided the students with insight on how formal writing works.

"GP Thesis Writing Preparation Ⅴ"
Much of the lecture was spent discussing academic writing and formal language. How does it differ from other writing styles? Students were asked to take texts and modify them to make them more formal. They were also asked to think about the most efficient ways to begin writing and finding material to support their arguments. All of the issues discussed were based on feedback received in surveys from past lectures in this series.
