Today, the Nanzan primary school first graders visited our university. During lunchtime, they were all on the main street interviewing the university students & professors. We, the GP media group, were having a meeting outside passing out fliers for ASK ASUKA, and the primary students came near us nervously. Mr. Lenihan was the first to greet the children and they started talking to him. They began with "Who are you?" ,"Nice to meet you.", and went into their brief introduction. I was very surprised to see the young students speaking English so fluently. After finishing their chat with Mr. Lenihan, the little ones walked up to where Mr. Hewer was sitting. This time, they started the conversation by themselves, and many of the students began asking different questions at the same time. Mr. Hewer seemed a bit frightened and after giving the children a few comments, he set off on his way back to work. I was left with the other GP members, but because I didn't want to become the next target, I told the primary students that Hajime is a very nice boy and they should definitely go talk to him. Being surrounded by small children, Hajime crouched down and kindly responded to them with a warm smile just like a real teacher. I think he will be a great dad in the future!
