A Report on the Thesis Writing Workshop 1

Despite the rain, many students, mostly seniors were able to participate in the workshop. First, the GP project director Aya Kawakami explained the basical skills to write a thesis. Also, she warned us the danger of plagiarism and stressed the importance of making a watertight bibliography. The second speaker, Ms. Tanaka, was a graduate from the Eibei department who is now in graduate school. She talked about her own personal experience of writing a thesis, and gave us a lot of useful tips. During the workshop, I was walking around the classroom to take photos and noticed the students taking elaborate notes. In the next workshop, I hope more attendants raise their hands and ask questions.
